okay, let's give honesty a shot

Soooo... I have been tagged by the awesome Jayne of The Little Passenger to share 10 random honest things about me. Here goes-

ten.
I don't like to wash my hair in the shower. I prefer to wash it in a huge sink in our laundry room. I didn't know this was weird, but my friend Taylor informed me last week that it was. I just hate getting water in my eyes. I don't even like to open my eyes underwater in the swimming pool.

nine.
I love finding air bubbles in my tositos tortilla chips. My family makes fun of me because of this.

eight.
I know this sounds cliche, but I totally don't care. I want to get married and raise a family more than anything. Not anytime soon, I've still got a lot I want to see and do before I have to drag a whole bunch of kids around, but someday. I want a humble, funny, and compassionate husband and four kids. I've always loved large family dynamics. I think four kids is just right. Think about it- when you go to an amusement park, no one has to ride alone. You've either got two seaters or three seaters. Now if you've got a five seater ride, we're in trouble. But someone probably has to hold the backpacks anyways.

seven.
I'm a little lost in life. But who isn't?

six.
I will not drink the milk at the bottom of the cereal bowl. I'll keep adding more multi-grain cheerios until the milk is gone, but I refuse to slurp that milk. It's been tainted.

five.
I don't think I've ever watched a full episode of the simpsons. Some might consider that un-american. I consider it brain-cell saving.

four.
I'm not one for having favorites. If I have a favorite, you can bet it will change the next time you ask me. There's just so many good things out there, how can you choose just one? I can't pick a favorite movie, color, song, anything. Because as soon as I think somethings my favorite, I remember something else that is equally as awesome. Some might call that indecisive. I call it considerate.

three.
Eleven years ago, at Heather Clay's house on new years eve, I peed my pants from laughing so hard.

two.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when people don't return their shopping carts and just leave them hanging out in the parking lot. Lazy! I don't know why it bothers me so much, but it just puts in me in a total rage! Also, I hate it when people are glued to their cell phones. When you're hanging out with someone, ignore your phone people! Give the person you're with your full attention and make them feel valuable.

one.
I gotta be honest, this was hard.

Okay, that's cheating, I'll come up with another honest thing.

When Center Stage first came out, my friend and I would pop in the vhs, push back all the furniture, and (attempt) to do all the dances along with the video. I LOVED that movie. But that whole "dance routine" thing resulted in many injuries and some broken furniture. And in fourth grade I knew most all the lines from Grease. Don't test me now though. I've tried to put those days behind me.

Okay so, I'm not going to tag anyone, I'm putting that responsibility on you guys. Good luck!

  1. Your #7 and #8 make me really happy because that's me too! Yes yes yes yes on #8. My co-workers think I'm crazy for wanting this at the age of 20, but how can we not want that? Of course it'll take time before it actually happens, but that's what I'm striving for in life. I'm going to school for a good education to get a good job to be able to help support my family (although I'd prefer the hubby to bring in more of the money, really), and have an even number of kids as well.

I don't know if all the above made sense, I'm half asleep as I write this. I have class in a few hours, but I'm still avoiding homework... I'll just skip this assignment. Meh.

I like the part about the amusement park and backpacks. :)

  2. agreed -

7 - i don't expect to ever completely figure it all out.
8 - being an only child i'd like about 3 or 4. which sounds weird when i tell people, because i don't particularly enjoy kids, like a lot of girls do - i always say mine will be different :)
2 - i HATE the shopping cart laziness... really, it takes three steps to put it in those bins. and cell phones... oh, man! it's not just the talking - i hate when people text around me, hate, hate. i really have the urge to snatch it and hurl in across the room. so rude.
    and your number 4 -
i always thought i was being indecisive, but turns out i was just being considerate!

  3. Belen- I totally get what you're saying. About the future thing and the procrastination thing. Fellow procrastinators unite!

Carmella- I used to love kids. Until my friends started having them. Now I kinda avoid them unless they're unannoying (new word) or entertaining. But I feel the same way. When we eventually have kids they are going to awesome. Non-cryers and everything.

Thank God someone feels the same way about shopping carts and cell phones!

  4. #10.. i don't like washing
my hair at all. period. i like
    the way it feels afterwards
but i hate actually doing it.

    #8.. i am just turned 23 and
that is all i've ever wanted too.
for as long as someone has been
asking me what i want to be
when i grow up, i've been certain.
    "a wife. a mother."

i got married on my 20th birthday
and our first child, a son, was born
on my 22 1/2 birthday (i maintain the
fact that 1/2 birthdays are worthy of
celebration with every bone in my
body).. and he is more than we ever
dreamed. and we would like to have 4.
or 6. or 8. or 200 babies in and out of
our arms these next 40 years.
